Jason Horsey, Group CEO

Jason began working with Civicon, in 2005 as a Project Manager for a Road Construction Contract in South Sudan. In 2006 he was relocated to Uganda to establish the Construction Division of the business, which had previously just run as a Logistics hub for the Civicon East African Operations. He spent the next 9 years as Country Manager in Uganda where he was involved in the infrastructure development of for the downstream oil industry, carrying out design and construction projects for many of the major storage depots and pipelines in Uganda. Jason has also been very active in the thermal power sector, having been involved in the construction of the majority of large thermal power stations in Uganda over the past 9 years. In 2014 he was appointed to Kenya Group CEO.

Jason has an Oil & Gas MBA from Middlesex University




Ben Kiilu, Head of Business Development

Ben joined Civicon Group in 2012 where he is the Head of Business Development. Before joining Civicon Ben worked with United Utilities, a FTSE 100 company in the UK, where he was Head of Engineering Services for the Process Alliance Business Unit, accountable for delivery of a £850m Programme of Infrastructure Work. Prior to that, Ben worked with Arup, a world leading engineering consultancy firm.

With experience in project management, engineering design, business advisory and management, Ben creates an exciting combination for his role in business development for the company.

Ben holds a Bsc. In Civil Engineering (1st Class) from the University of Nairobi and an MPhil in Engineering from Cambridge. Ben is also a member of the Chartered Management Institute, UK (MCMI)





Stephen N R Kamau, Group Head of Human Resources 

Stephen Kamau is a longstanding HR professional with extensive HR experience gained across diverse industries, with leading Corporates in Kenya. He holds a Global Executive MBA from United States International University (USIU) – Kenya in collaboration with the Columbia University - New York.  Stephen is an alumni of the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) from Strathmore Business School & IESE Business School (Spain). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics /History from Egerton University and a Higher National Diploma in Human Resources from the Institute of Human Resources Management – Kenya. He is a Member of the IHRM (Kenya). 

Prior to joining Civicon Ltd, Stephen has worked for leading corporates including ARM Cement Limited, East African Portland Cement, Oserian Development and G4S Security Kenya.

In his current role, Stephen is responsible for overall leadership and development of the Company Human Resources to ensure maintenance of a high performance culture as well as attraction and retention of a superior workforce base to support current and emerging business requirements.
